Hi FrodeSolheim, many thanks for your support, i’m really keen to get it up and running. This is almost my first trial with retroarch and Amiga. atari800 and vice are running already. I am pretty sure I also get a500 running. currently I am stuck with configuration, searched around a lot already and tried different things.
When using the ubuntu 18 package the core+retroarch is dying silently with segmentation fault. When using the compiled one it does not find the kickstart regardless where I put them to, it seems.
I am pretty sure you can set it up running, but for me it is too difficult with no sufficient help from google.
Please contact via email maybe I can provide some improvement if you point me to the right direction.
Hi, I wasn’t aware that you meant the FS-UAE RetroArch core. I’ve got nothing to do with that actually, and I don’t know how it works :-/
Hi I compiled on “Linux aproxos 4.15.0-51-generic #55-Ubuntu SMP Wed May 15 14:27:21 UTC 2019 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux”
It seems there is a dependency missing:
sources/libfsemu/src/emu/audio_openal.c:64:5: error: unknown type name ‘ALuint’
After adding package libopenal-dev it compiled sucessfully.
You might want to add this to the configure stuff.
I’ve added an error to configure if openal is not found (next release) 🙂
Thank you for the updates! We really appreciate it.
What WinUAE version is this based on now ??
3.3.0b2. The next development series (3.1.x) will be synced with WinUAE 4.2.1.
Great 🙂 Any chance for a simplified mounting of amiga native CF disks ? I was struggling with this lately. 🙁
Greets Dag !
Hi, that’s not on the to-do list at the moment, due to completely different ways to do that on Windows, Linux and macOS. Also, quite cumbersome to make a good system for that, since you often need amin/root access as well.
Someone’s feeling inspired! Great work, man, can’t wait to see where the project goes!
Exciting developments! Is a 3.0 release on the horizon?
Yes, 3.0 really soon, any time now really, depending on whether I want to make more minor changes first or not, or whether new bugs are found.
