Hey Frode, first of all: what a great piece of software – big thanks for finally making the old times Amiga experience accessible to a broader and younger audience! Love it!
I’ve been struggling with, and wondering for years, why Amiga emulators must be designed as sophisticated as was done before, and only accidentally found this piece of art today!
I congratulate and really feel relieved you achieved what they couldn’t: to simply allow users to load some floppy and have fun like back in the days – in a straight forward way!
Thanks, I really appreciate the comment 🙂 I know there are some rough edges here and there, stuff takes time and there are lots of improvements I want to make. But it’s good to know that people also appreciate what’s done already!
Hi, I just tested this version on MacOSX and I can’t manage to use Alt+Tab to switch between the FS-UAE window and the OSX Desktop. Did the hotkey somehow change in one of the last versions? I thought it was Alt+Tab to exit keyboard/mouse grabbing?!?!
Hi, the Alt+Tab shortcut isn’t implemented for the SDL2 version of FS-UAE – and FS-UAE on OS X was swithed to using SDL2 to get better fullscreen support / resolve issues with high-dpi resolutions. You can still release the grab with F12+g or middle mouse button. But I will be reviewing shortcut handling in SDL2, so Alt+Tab will hopefully make a comeback 🙂
On OpenSuse13.1 there are missing dependencies. These can be aquired easily with zypper: python-Pillow python-pygame python-opengl. But this one is unavailable: libpng14.so.14
Hi, I’m uploading new fs-uae-arcade beta packages with dependencies on python-imaging, python-pygame and python-opengl. I’m not sure why there would be a dependency on a non-existing library though – the packages are built on the opensuse build service – with only development packages from the same distribution… Is it possible you are accidentically using a 12.x repository on your 13.1 box? Please double-check that you are using the 13.1 repository listed on http://fs-uae.net/download-beta. Thanks.
Yes. I was using wrong repository. Sorry for a false alarm! So embarrassed. And thank You for the fast reply. But that was because I wanted to play Deuteros ASAP 🙂
